SharePoint: Microsoft Lists – Drag to order list items

In a recent SharePoint update, Microsoft Lists now allows users to easily organize and sort list items by dragging and dropping them into a custom order. This feature offers increased functionality for teams looking to maximize the efficiency and organization of their lists within SharePoint.
The new feature was launched in February of CY2024, and it is available on both the web platform and the cloud instance. The update is set to release across multiple platforms, including GCC, DoD, GCC High, and Worldwide Standard Multi-Tenant.
For those looking to take advantage of this new feature, it offers a simple and intuitive way to keep lists in order, tailored to specific team needs. By enabling users to customize the order of list items, Microsoft Lists further streamlines the productivity and collaboration of team workflows.
You can find further details about this update on the Microsoft 365 roadmap.
