Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention: Document Fingerprinting support for additional workloads
Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention now offers Document Fingerprinting support for additional workloads, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Endpoint. Document Fingerprinting Sensitive Information Types (SITs) let you convert a standard form into an SIT you can use in your DLP policies. With this update, admins can now adjust the threshold while creating Fingerprint SITs. This enables you to detect partial matching support with Fingerprinting across compliance solutions - allowing you to identify any sensitive documents' exposure. This feature is available now and is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 93280.
Ensure to get started with Data Loss Prevention in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to utilize this feature fully. Learn more on the M365 Admin website.
