Microsoft Purview eDiscovery: Retiring User Data Search Case tool

Microsoft is retiring the User data search case tool, and merging its functionality with eDiscovery Standard, effective August 30th, 2023. Going forward, all User data search tool cases and searches will be available under the eDiscovery standard solution, with access to eDiscovery Standard functionality. While the User data search case tool has a built-in search option, the rise in Data Subject Rights requests has increased demand for more detailed capabilities. With the eDiscovery Standard solution, you can expand search capabilities and add more variables to meet your requirements. Existing User data search cases and searches will automatically appear in the eDiscovery Standard solution, with eDiscovery Standard features available for use. To prepare, assess how the changes will affect your eDiscovery workflow, provide training to all eDiscovery users, and update relevant documentation, if needed.
