SharePoint: DocuSign Integration with SharePoint eSignature
In a bid to enhance the user experience and promote seamless workflow, SharePoint has enabled integration with DocuSign. This integration empowers SharePoint users, who are also DocuSign customers, to request eSignatures directly from their PDF documents. By doing so, they can process the eSignature request through DocuSign, and a copy of the signed document will automatically be saved in SharePoint upon completion. This eliminates the need to manually transfer documents between SharePoint and other eSignature platforms, mitigating the risks of potential data breaches. Furthermore, this integration reduces the need for manual downloads or uploads when initiating and saving the signed documents on SharePoint for long-term storage.
Overall, this move by SharePoint serves to enhance the document processing capabilities of the platform, providing users with an even more seamless experience. The integration is currently available on the web/cloud platform, and is scheduled for general availability release by March CY2024.
