Microsoft Syntex: Universal Annotations

Microsoft Syntex: Universal Annotations

Microsoft Syntex has rolled out a new feature that enables licensed users to highlight, underline, and circle PDF and TIFF files without changing the underlying file. This feature allows end users to collaborate on files without making copies or compromising the record of the document. The feature will start rolling out in December and will be complete by early January for licensed Syntex users, who will see a new icon in the toolbar to annotate. Only licensed users will have the ability to create or view annotations. It is advisable to identify users likely to collaborate on files in PDF and TIFF format, purchase Syntex seat licenses, and assign them to your users. Microsoft plans to add more functionality to the feature in the future.
