Microsoft Clipchamp has recently introduced automatic captioning to make videos more accessible. This feature utilizes AI to generate captions for videos, making them more inclusive for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing. The transcript created by the captioning feature also includes an index of timestamps to aid users in editing their videos. Users can choose to correct, hide, or download the captions as an SRT file. Captions can be personalized by selecting the font size, style, and placement in the video. Nevertheless, users must select a language to caption in, as the feature only supports one language per video. The captioning feature is not enabled by default, and it can be turned on and off for each video project. This feature will be available to all users at no extra cost with the new update of Clipchamp.
To make the most of this new feature, users must familiarize themselves with Microsoft Clipchamp's automatic captioning. No action is necessary to prepare for this change, but users may want to notify others and update any relevant documentation to help adopt the feature. Through the new automatic captioning feature offered by Microsoft Clipchamp, people can create video content that is inclusive and accessible to all.
