Microsoft Teams: Sign Language View and always-on captions in meetings

Microsoft Teams has recently introduced two new features to boost accessibility to its platform - the Sign Language View and always-on captions in meetings. Users can now prioritize up to two participants' videos for sign language interpretation during meetings, ensuring their videos stay visible even when content is shared. Additionally, captions can be set to stay on across all meetings, making it easier for users with hearing disabilities to follow along with the conversation. These new features are currently available on the desktop version of Microsoft Teams and will roll out globally by November 2022. This move fosters a more inclusive communication and collaboration experience, catering to the needs of diverse teams.
To sum up, Microsoft Teams has introduced two new features, Sign Language View and always-on captions in meetings, to enhance accessibility and inclusivity on its platform. These features prioritize sign language interpretation and add captions to all meetings for users with hearing disabilities.
