Microsoft Stream: Automatic transcriptions for video files uploaded to SharePoint, Yammer, and Office.com
Microsoft has introduced a new feature that generates automatic transcriptions for videos that have been uploaded to SharePoint Online, Yammer, and Office.com. This feature is set to roll out globally by June of 2023, but will not be available for A1 and trial tenancies. It will provide users with more accessibility options and make videos easier to search, as the transcriptions will also be indexed for search. This development will be particularly beneficial for those who are deaf or hard of hearing and for anyone who prefers to read the transcripts rather than watch the video.
