Microsoft Teams: Active speaker view in meetings
Microsoft Teams meetings just got even more dynamic with the introduction of the Active Speaker view. Specifically designed to keep viewers engaged and enhance meeting participation, the Active Speaker view displays the active speaker while still showing all other participants in the meeting. This feature is accessible through the view switcher in a meeting, making it easy for users to choose the best view option for their meeting needs.
This feature is set to be generally available as of March CY2023, and will be accessible on Desktop, Cloud Instance GCC, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC High and DoD platforms. The roadmap ID for this feature is 116009 and you can stay up-to-date on any further developments by following the roadmap link provided.
With the introduction of this new feature, Microsoft Teams continues to deliver on its promises to provide a dynamic and intuitive platform for virtual meetings.
