Microsoft Teams: Speaker View in Teams Meetings

Microsoft Teams has announced a new feature called Speaker View, which allows users to effortlessly track the current active speaker during meetings. Speaker View is great for audiences in scenarios with a limited number of key speakers, such as town halls, trainings, or lectures. The feature will be available from the view switcher within meetings and includes several enhancements, such as easy tracking of the active speaker, equal representation for audio and video attendees, and a predictable experience. The button to disable incoming videos will also be relocated to the same view switcher. This feature is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 116009 and will begin rolling out in early April with a complete rollout expected by mid-May. Users do not need to take any explicit action to enable or use this feature.
