OneDrive: Office Files on Hold
OneDrive has updated its GPO settings to automatically merge Office file conflicts instead of creating a copy of the file in conflict. This change will prevent end-users from having to manually merge potentially hundreds of conflicts. However, this change will only apply to tenants who have enabled the (EnableHoldTheFile) GPO. Tenants who have disabled this GPO will continue to have the files automatically forked instead of allowing users to merge conflicts in Office. This update will be available for general availability release in April CY2025 and will be applicable globally including on Mac Cloud Instance, GCC High, DoD, GCC.
