SharePoint News in Outlook
Microsoft has announced the integration of SharePoint News into Outlook, enabling news authors to preview and send full news posts as emails to their readers’ inbox. To aid authors, six templates will be added to Outlook and SharePoint, while unified page analytics will enable authors to track their total page reads across both platforms. It should be noted that sending a page as an email will not affect existing site permissions or grant access to the original page for recipients who do not already have it. The rollout is expected to begin in late August 2023 for Targeted Release and in mid-September 2023 for Standard Release. Organizations do not need to do anything to prepare for this update.
