New SharePoint site templates

Microsoft SharePoint is introducing three new site templates to aid users in creating sites for HR, event showcasing, and contract management. The HR and Events templates assist users in delivering content and sharing information across their organization. The HR template serves as a source of information for employees on the complexities of employment and benefits, while the Event template includes layout ideas and highlights upcoming events. The Microsoft Syntex powered contracts management template comes with prebuilt tutorials and established models to get started right away. The templates will be available in the SharePoint site, allowing users to customize pre-populated content to fit their needs. This feature will be on by default, and users can select a site template that matches their organizational objectives. The new SharePoint site templates will roll out in early November for Targeted Release and in late November for Standard. Users can apply a template to a new or existing site through the template gallery that can be accessed from the settings.
