Copilot in Viva Engage

Get ready to experience Copilot in Viva Engage! In the Analytics and AI section of your Viva Engage admin dashboard, a new control will be available in mid-January. This feature activates the preview of Copilot in Engage for all users with premium licenses, providing personalized suggestions on what and where to post based on their previous Engage activity, campaigns, and communities. Copilot is based on Large Language Model (LLM) technology that uses Microsoft Responsible AI protections to ensure users generate natural, engaging, and authentic posts. Collaborating with Copilot will enable users to produce unique content that adds value to the network.

The preview of Copilot in Engage will be available on the Viva Engage homepage, Teams, and Outlook starting in mid-January, and by the end of February, it will be accessible in communities, storylines, and articles. By Spring 2024, Copilot in Engage will be generally available. Admins will be able to enable the feature for users under a premium Viva license using the control available in the Analytics and AI section of the Viva Engage admin dashboard.

If you plan to use Copilot, be sure to review your configuration and update training and documentation as necessary. To enable Copilot, Summarization must also be enabled, which is another control accessible in the Analytics and AI section of the Viva Engage admin dashboard. This allows Copilot to summarize messages and streamline communication between users and teams.
