Microsoft Teams: Improvements to the “Manage what attendees see” feature
Microsoft Teams is making it easier for event organizers to manage what attendees see with new intuitive controls that simplify event production and create a more professional viewing experience. The update is currently available for Targeted Release and will roll out globally from late August to early September 2024, with no need for admin action. The Manage what attendees see feature helps organizers simplify the attendee view and maintain focus on on-screen participants. The new update includes toggles to bring presenters on or off screen, live indicators, pinning, pagination, and a new fit-to-frame presenter layout in the left panel. The feature is on by default and will apply to new meetings or events created after mid-September 2024. Users are recommended to conduct a test session with the feature turned on to get accustomed to the new controls. Before the rollout, Manage what attendees see requires a two-step process to use presenters' context menu, while enhancements after the rollout will make it even simpler to present a professional viewing experience.
Users of Teams on Windows desktop and on the web can expect this new feature to roll out soon. M365 Admin provides a comprehensive guide for Manage what attendees see, and users are encouraged to refer to the guide for more information.
