Microsoft Purview | Data Loss Protection: New conditions for Mac endpoints (file size, partially scannable, etc.)
Microsoft Purview is introducing seven new data loss prevention conditions for Mac endpoints to enhance data protection across digital estates, which will be available for public preview in mid-November 2024 and general availability in mid-December 2024. These new conditions include document size, document property, scannability, document name matching patterns, password protection, and more. These conditions will be applied to Mac endpoint devices, as well as on Windows. There is no admin action required, and the rollout will happen automatically. Organizations can extend these conditions to their policies and rules for endpoint devices to provide enhanced protection. Microsoft recommends keeping users informed about this change and updating relevant documentation.
