Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Support for Advanced classification scanning and protection for Endpoints running on Mac OS
Microsoft's Purview compliance portal's Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) now supports advanced classification scanning and protection for endpoints running on the Mac OS, providing admins with greater control over data protection. With this capability, admins can use advanced Microsoft Purview cloud-based data classification to scan and classify data, leveraging techniques like fingerprinting, exact data match classification, and named entities in their DLP policies. This feature is currently available in GA for Microsoft Purview DLP and has been extended to Mac endpoint devices for Government Clouds. The product release phase is set for general availability in November CY2023.
