Facilitator in Teams Meetings and Chats

M365 Admin has announced the launch of a new agent in Microsoft 365, called Facilitator, which enhances collaboration in Teams meetings and chats. This agent generates real-time AI notes and suggested tasks during meetings to enable co-authoring and seamless collaboration, and maintains an up-to-date summary of important information in chats, including key decisions, action items, and open questions to resolve. The Facilitator app is available in public preview and requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. App permission policy for Microsoft apps must be set to “Allow all apps” to access Facilitator. The AI notes can be accessed via an entry point in the chat header. This feature is slated for rollout in mid-November 2024 and will be available only to users with the appropriate permission policy.
