Excel: Python in Excel for the web
Microsoft Excel's new Python feature allows the integration of Python capabilities directly into Excel spreadsheets. With this update, users will be able to incorporate Python formulas into their workbooks, which will be securely run by Excel in a container on the Microsoft Cloud with enterprise-level security. This feature is available for eligible users using Excel for the web and is part of the compliant Microsoft 365 connected experience. The release for this feature is scheduled for February CY2025, and it will be available on the worldwide web cloud platform. The Roadmap ID for this feature is 471001.
With Excel's new Python feature, users can enhance their data analysis capabilities, manipulate data, and perform complex computations with the ease and power of Python. This new feature bridges the gap between two popular tools, opening up new possibilities for data analysis and manipulation.
