Microsoft Secure Score is Adding New Improvement Actions
In an effort to enhance the accuracy of security posture representation, Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions will be updated. This update will see the addition of new Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendations, including account onboarding, non-expiring passwords, outdated passwords, among others. Certain existing recommendations have also been updated while new ones, like enabling MFA, modern authentication, and MailTips for end-users, have been added. The changes are expected to roll out from mid to late June 2023. To access the new controls, the Office 365 connector in Microsoft Defender for Cloud apps must be toggled on via the App connectors settings page. In addition, password protection should be enabled on Active Directory while LinkedIn contact synchronization should be disabled.
