Microsoft Teams: Desktop to web browser join experience for attendees in Virtual Appointments
Microsoft Teams has recently introduced a new feature that allows attendees joining a virtual appointment on desktop to be directed to the Teams web browser experience. This feature can be enabled by schedulers through the "have attendees join from a web browser" setting. By routing attendees to the web browser experience, they gain access to engagement features such as raise hand and live reactions, enhancing their participation in the virtual appointment.
This feature is now generally available and was released in November CY2023. It is available on both desktop and web platforms, including Cloud Instance GCC High, DoD, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and GCC.
This new addition is part of Microsoft Teams' efforts to improve the overall virtual appointment experience and make it more accessible and engaging for attendees.
