Teams Multitenant Org (MTO) in GCC, GCC High, and DoD clouds

Microsoft Teams is set to introduce new Multi-Tenant Organization capabilities, which will enable admins to activate features across tenants, providing an integrated collaboration experience for employees working in organizations across multiple tenants. This aims to eliminate silos and facilitate an increasingly creative and collaborative workspace. These features include search, chat, calling, meetings, and content sharing, all available in the new Teams Desktop client. Organizations must configure an MTO group in the Microsoft 365 admin center, while client machines running Windows 10 or 11 must have KB5027293 or KB5027303 installed, respectively. The capabilities will be available to customers to try starting in late January 2024 and expect to complete by late February 2024.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 375631, and clients must familiarize themselves with the Plan for multitenant organizations in Microsoft 365 (Preview). While MTO capabilities will be available on the new Teams Windows, new Teams MacOS, iOS and Android client apps, a specific version of the Teams web app will also be optimized for these MTO features in the future.
