Add people to a group chat from compose box via @ mention

If you want to save time and streamline your chats on Microsoft Teams, the @mention feature is your new best friend. By using the @mention feature, you can add people to a group chat without interrupting your flow. Instead of navigating to the add-dialog manually, simply type the person's name following the @ symbol in the compose box and select their name from the list. This allows you to add people directly to a group chat from the compose box. The feature will be rolled out from early to late December 2022.
