Microsoft Teams has rolled out a new tool for Bookable Desks and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Rooms. This new tool allows administrators to import device information to the Teams Rooms Pro management portal using a PowerShell script, making setup a breeze.
Bookable desks and BYOD rooms require devices to be discovered in the management portal before they can be associated. With the use of the free PowerShell script, administrators can collect and save necessary peripheral data for a quick import into the Teams Rooms Pro management portal. This makes it easier to gather and import device information during setup.
Admins can manually input the Product ID (PID), Vendor ID (VID), and serial number to easily associate the device with the bookable desk or BYOD room. This streamlined process makes it easier to manage access and usage of these shared spaces.
If you're interested in utilizing this new tool, visit the "Using PowerShell to gather and upload information on devices in BYOD Rooms and Bookable Desks to Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal" page for more information.
