Microsoft Teams: Simulcast for Teams on VDI

Microsoft Teams has announced Simulcast support for VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), which allows for multiple video call streams simultaneously even in the event of poor network quality. This feature is set to become available for general use in January CY2023 for desktop and cloud instances. It is accessible in various regions such as DoD, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) and GCC High, GCC and was added to the Microsoft Teams roadmap with ID 99865 on October 12th, 2022.
For those looking to improve video call quality on VDI, Simulcast for Teams presents an exciting opportunity to better support multitasking and to ensure that calls can proceed regardless of the available network conditions.
