Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro and Basic service plans backfill

Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro and Basic are getting an upgrade with new service plans, as announced in MC540241 back in April 2023. The backfill will take place from late August 2023 to early September 2023, during which Teams Rooms Pro licenses will be replaced with Microsoft_Teams_Rooms_Pro service plan and Teams Rooms Basic licenses will be replaced with Microsoft_Teams_Rooms_Basic service plan. This change will ensure consistency of experiences across current and future room licenses, and existing users of Teams Rooms licenses should not see any changes to current functionality. Non-room license users with rooms should read more information on staying compliant by switching to a Teams room license. Expect these new service plans to show up in your license through Microsoft Admin Center if you currently use Teams Rooms Pro, Teams Rooms Basic. No additional action is required if you are on a legacy Teams license (Teams Rooms Standard, Teams Rooms Premium), as these licenses already include a room-specific service plan.
