Microsoft Teams Rooms Licensing Support in Teams admin center
Microsoft Teams Rooms has received new licensing support with the introduction of Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro and Microsoft Teams Rooms Basic licenses. The Teams admin center now allows users to view license information for Teams Rooms and Surface Hub devices, along with management capabilities tailored to the type of license assigned to a device. These changes are set to roll out between early February and mid-February. Teams Rooms and Surface Hub devices assigned the new licenses can be managed using specific capabilities outlined in Microsoft's public documentation. It is important to note that user licenses assigned to these devices will need to be replaced with Teams Rooms Basic or Teams Rooms Pro licenses before July 1, 2023.
