Service health and Message center: Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps consolidation
Microsoft is streamlining the communication process for its Microsoft 365 Defender for Cloud Apps platform by consolidating it under the existing Microsoft Defender XDR service listing. This change, set to be implemented by the end of September 2024, means that Microsoft 365 Defender for Cloud Apps events will be communicated under the Microsoft Defender XDR banner. To avoid confusion, organizations should update their training and documentation and configure email preferences to include Microsoft Defender XDR within Service health and Message center pages so they continue to receive notifications.
