Public preview announcement – support all Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps users by Microsoft Defender XDR portal
Microsoft has announced that all admin roles supported by Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps will have access to the entire Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps experience in the Microsoft 365 Defender XDR portal. This move is part of a transition to the Microsoft Defender XDR portal, with the public preview set to rollout from late February 2024 to mid-March 2024. This means that App/Instance admin, User group admin, Cloud Discovery global admin, and Cloud Discovery report admin, will all have access to the Defender for Cloud Apps experience in the portal. Users need not take any action to prepare for this change but could consider notifying relevant parties about this change in their documentation.
