Automatic redirection from Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to Microsoft 365 Defender public preview announcement
Microsoft recently announced that the entire Defender for Cloud Apps experience will be generally available in Microsoft 365 Defender soon. The rollout is expected to begin in mid-July and complete by late July. As a result, all users accessing Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps will be automatically redirected to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal. For public preview customers, the redirection toggle will be set to ON by default, but admins still have the option to not automatically redirect their users.
To prepare, users can take a short tour to learn more about the upcoming changes. Keep in mind that this automatic redirection will affect your organization, so it's crucial to be aware of the changes. Stay up to date on this announcement and make necessary adjustments to ensure a seamless transition.
