Automatic redirection from Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to Microsoft 365 Defender GA announcement
Microsoft has announced that the entire Defender for Cloud Apps experience in Microsoft 365 Defender is now generally available. Users accessing Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps will be automatically redirected to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal, with the option for admins to opt-out of the automatic redirection. Starting from October 15, the redirection toggle will be set to ON by default for all customers. However, users with certain roles such as Defender for Cloud Apps App/Instance admin, User group admin, Cloud Discovery global admin, and Cloud Discovery report admin will be exempted from the automatic redirection. There is no action required to prepare for this change. You may want to inform your users about this change and update relevant documentation as needed.
