Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication compliance for Teams meeting

In May 2024, Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance will be generally available to help organizations detect policy violations in Microsoft Teams meeting audio transcripts. This tool provides policy analysis to detect sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content, and uses privacy-by-design features such as pseudonymization, role-based access controls, and user-level audit logs to ensure data privacy. Global admins must consent to share Team transcripts for analysis, and no admin action is needed before the rollout, but organizations should update documentation and educate users about it. Communication Compliance policies will analyze Teams meeting recordings for policy violations, but only for recordings made by the meeting organizers.
