Microsoft Teams: Chat for organizers and presenters in Town Hall

Microsoft Teams has introduced a new feature for Town Hall meetings that allows organizers, presenters, and external presenters to engage in private discussions before, during, and after virtual events. This feature facilitates real-time collaboration, enabling organizers to coordinate seamlessly during presentations or debrief post-event. To access this feature, the organizer must define presenters and external presenters for the town hall when scheduling the event. Once the event is created, organizers and presenters can access this chat before/after the event from the Teams Calendar or the event's details page. Meanwhile, during the event, all participants can access this chat from within the in-meeting chat by selecting the tab for Organizers and Presenters. This feature is set to roll out by mid-March 2024, and will be automatically available in Microsoft Teams once released.

This feature will be a valuable tool for driving impactful and successful virtual events, enhancing communication and collaboration among presenters and organizers.
