Administrator protection on Windows 11
Windows 11 is stepping up its game in security by introducing Administrator protection through Windows Hello. This feature verifies the identity of the user before granting access to any action that requires administrative privileges. This helps reduce mistakes made by users and lowers the risk of malware making changes to the system without the user's knowledge. Administrator protection can be configured using Group Policy or the settings catalog in Microsoft Intune, and it will soon be available in other management tools.
For organizations, this feature enhances security, improves user control, and reduces the risk of malware. If you're part of the Windows Insider Program, you can enable this feature now, restart your devices, and configure it using Group Policy or the settings catalog in Microsoft Intune. Other tools are expected to support this feature soon as well.
To prepare, check if the feature is available in your program, and if it is, enable it and restart your devices. For more information on this feature and its benefits, read through the Additional Information section provided in the original post.
