Microsoft Teams: Admin Policy for Collaborative Annotations

Microsoft Teams has recently released a new admin policy that allows for better control of collaborative annotations for users, groups, and entire organizations. This feature is now available in General Availability Release phase as of August CY2023, with a platform availability of Mac Cloud Instance and cloud instances such as DoD, GCC, GCC High, and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant). The creation of this new policy is a step towards improving collaborative work in Teams and aligning the product with the current needs of organizations.
If you're a Teams admin, this new policy gives you the flexibility to control the types of annotations that can be created and shared in Teams. With this feature, you can prevent unauthorized annotations and ensure that annotations created by users align with your organization's standards. This new policy is a part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to make Teams a more secure and collaborative platform for work.
