Teams copy/paste of messages does not include timestamp and message author name

Teams has made a change in copied messages that removes timestamps and author names, as many users have found this information to add more noise than value to their workflow. This change is already in effect, and organizations may need to update training materials accordingly. Users who need detailed message transfer should use the Forward feature or Teams Export API. Removing names and timestamps from copied content helps maintain focus and reduces unnecessary noise, providing a more streamlined experience for most users. However, some users may have utilized this information for different purposes and may report that it is no longer part of the pasted content. It is recommended to update training and documentation as appropriate. The post Teams copy/paste of messages does not include timestamp and message author name appeared first on M365 Admin.
