Microsoft 365 is boosting its cybersecurity measures by mandating multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all Microsoft 365 admin center users beginning February 3rd, 2025. This move will significantly reduce the risk of account compromise by adding an extra layer of protection beyond standard username and password authentication. Users and global admins must set up MFA, verify methods, or apply to postpone the enforcement date. The requirement will be rolled out in phases at the tenant level over the coming weeks.
