Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: Downgrade or remove sensitivity label

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is set to receive an update that will enable it to capture sensitivity label changes on OneDrive, Azure Information Protection, and endpoints along with SharePoint. While public preview kicks off mid-November 2024, General Availability will commence late January 2025. This automatic update will not require any action. Before this update, sensitivity label changes were captured only on the Microsoft SharePoint web app. However, with the upcoming rollout, Microsoft is expanding the scope of capture to include OneDrive, Azure Information Protection, and endpoints. Sensitivity label downgrade or removal on local files on a user's device will also be captured. The existing Microsoft Office 365 indicators for downgrading and removing sensitivity labels will be renamed accordingly. Current events that occurred before the rollout will continue to show the old naming conventions, while new events will follow the new naming conventions.
