Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Insider risk insights in DLP alerts

Microsoft Purview, in combination with Microsoft Defender, now offers a new feature to DLP analysts, facilitating access to an insider risk summary of user activities that may result in potential data security incidents. This functionality has been incorporated to aid analysts in gaining an improved understanding of DLP alerts, allowing them to make better-informed decisions regarding potential incidents. Updated with privacy features, such as pseudonymization by default and access controls, Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management seeks to assist customers in the identification of inadvertent or malicious insider risks like IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Notably, users can now build policies based on their internal organizational requirements and governance. The feature is now generally available.
