Microsoft Teams: In Chat, “Files” will be renamed to “Shared” and get new features

Microsoft Teams users, watch out for a new update! The "Files" tab in Chat is set to be renamed to "Shared", with the addition of new features such as image previews and keyword search. The new tab will include recent files, all files, and links for a more comprehensive view of shared content. Rest assured, this change will not affect channels, and no admin action is required for the update. The rollout will begin in early July 2024 and should be available worldwide by late July 2024. The Shared tab will be turned on by default, accessible to all Teams users. Stay tuned for further updates such as media links, image previews for links, and keyword search.
