Microsoft Teams: File Image preview in chats and channels
Microsoft Teams has introduced a handy new feature that allows users to preview files shared in chat or channel conversations. When sharing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF documents, a thumbnail image of the file will appear in the thread, allowing users to quickly identify and preview the file's content without having to open it. This new feature can help streamline communication and expedite workflows, making it easier for users to find the files they need.
This feature is currently available for desktop and cloud platforms and is expected to be rolled out globally by June CY2024. Product Microsoft Teams Release also specifies that this feature will be available in a standard multi-tenant worldwide instance.
