In Microsoft Teams, users can request to join a shared channel via a link. Upon clicking the link, channel owners will be notified of the join request and can then choose to approve or deny the request. This feature is now generally available on all platforms, including Mac and Cloud Instance DoD, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC High, and GCC.
If you're looking for a way to enhance your team collaboration and communication, this new feature is definitely worth checking out. See the Roadmap Link provided in the article for more details on this update.
