Xerox’s big bet on automation pays off, with Stephen Miller

In this episode, Gemma Milne has a conversation with Stephen Miller, the Vice President of Analytics and Automation at Xerox. The discussion is focused on his work with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the ways in which it can drive digital transformation, as well as the unexpected benefits he's seen from RPA implementation. Stephen has more than 29 years of experience working with major global technology companies, including executive roles in shared services, information technology, major accounts and finance. Over the past three years, he has led Xerox’s Data, Automation and Analytics Organization. In this role, he is responsible for Xerox's digital transformation strategy and execution. He also leads Xerox's commercial automation business and creates digital products, selling scaled AI, data, analytics, and automation solutions for leading clients globally. Throughout the discussion, Stephen defines RPA, how it can drive digital transformation, and how to quantify the benefits of process automation. He also emphasizes the importance of change management for successful automation initiatives and provides advice for companies that might be hesitant about RPA adoption. The conversation also touches upon some unexpected benefits of RPA and the biggest lesson that Stephen learned from utilizing RPA. The episode includes some useful links to Xerox's website, where one can learn more about RPA.
