Microsoft Word: Loop components released to Targeted Release customers have retired
In December 2022, the Loop components feature was introduced to Targeted Release customers in Microsoft Word for the web, but it has now been retired. The good news is that existing Loop components will continue to work as usual, but users won't be able to insert new ones. However, Loop components will still be available in other Microsoft apps and the Loop application. Users who want to learn more about using Loop components in Word for the web can check out the Microsoft support page for guidance. This change was communicated in MC478687 Loop components in Word for the web in Targeted release.
To recap, the Loop components feature in Microsoft Word for the web has been rolled back, and users can no longer insert new ones. Existing components will continue to function, and pasted components will appear as links in Word documents. However, Loop components are still available in other Microsoft applications and the Loop app. For more information, including instructions on how to use Loop components in Word for the web, users can refer to the Microsoft Support page.
