Create new Loop Components in Microsoft Whiteboard

Create new Loop Components in Microsoft Whiteboard

Microsoft Whiteboard is adding a new feature that allows users to create live Loop components such as task lists, tables, voting tables, progress trackers, and checklists. The feature is expected to roll out in late October 2023 and will be available on Whiteboard for the web, Whiteboard app in Teams, and Whiteboard for Windows. This feature is part of the Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 117400 and can be controlled by the Create and view Loop files in Microsoft apps that support Loop OCPS policy. Users will be able to create, copy/paste, view, and edit these live Loop components in Whiteboard. However, users on mobile devices will only be able to view and edit these components, not create or copy/paste them. Furthermore, users on Surface hubs and Microsoft Teams Room devices will not have access to this feature. Additionally, external and anonymous users collaborating on whiteboards in Teams meetings will not have access to this feature in a future update. Preparation for this feature is not needed unless the Loop functionality in Whiteboard and other MS365 apps needs to be disabled, which can be done through the Office cloud policy service in the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center.
