Microsoft Teams: Seamlessly share apps and Microsoft 365 Copilot agents

Microsoft Teams introduces new features that enhance the sharing experience by allowing seamless sharing of apps and Microsoft 365 Copilot agents. This change will take place from mid-December 2024 and is expected to be generally available by late January 2025. Users can easily share apps and Microsoft 365 Copilot agents, and no license is required to share, but it is needed for using the apps and agents.
With this update, users can anticipate new detailed cards for shared Copilot agents and apps, shortened URLs for shared links, and an updated sharing experience that now features Share and Copy link in the same window. The developer's name and branding icon on app cards, app details in short description in cards, and the ability to dismiss cards while pasting a link in compose mode are also part of this new update.
This change will be applicable to Teams for Windows desktop, Mac desktop, Teams on the web, and Teams for Android/iOS. Shared Copilot agents created from the embedded agent builder in Teams can now be acquired from Teams and used in the Copilot app within Teams.
Users are recommended to review their current configuration to determine the impact of these changes on their organization. This rollout will happen automatically without requiring any admin action before the rollout date.
