Microsoft Viva Engage: Subscribe to notifications for followed topics

In a forthcoming update to Microsoft Viva Engage, users will be able to subscribe to notifications for topics they follow, allowing them to stay up-to-date with new posts or updates in their selected topic areas. Notifications will appear on the bell icon on the left side of the screen. This feature will be rolled out in late September 2024, with completion expected by early October 2024. By default, notifications will be enabled. Users will receive a notification when a new post is added to a topic they are subscribed to, or when a topic is added to an existing post. After following a topic on the Viva Engage topic page, users will be able to subscribe to that topic to start receiving notifications. This feature will be on by default. No admin action is required for this rollout, which will be completed automatically by the specified date. You should let your users know about this new feature and update relevant documentation.
