SharePoint: New site creation experience

In an effort to simplify and streamline the site creation process, SharePoint has unveiled a new site template selection experience. Through this new update, users can select a site template based on their particular scenario, providing additional guidance and simplifying the entire site creation process. To further streamline the process, several site templates have been renamed with more descriptive names of their intended purpose. In addition, content updates have been made to the Organization home, Event, Human resources, Volunteer center, and Crisis management site templates. The site template gallery has also been updated to include a visual preview of site capabilities and features offered by each template. This update will be rolling out in late July and will become the new standard site creation experience for all users, simplifying the process for both end-users and administrators alike.
