Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Cross workload predicate support on Mac Endpoints (File size, partially scannable, etc.)

Microsoft Purview has introduced a new feature that enables admins to extend their predicates to the DLP (data loss prevention) for Endpoint. Specifically, they can apply predicates related to unscannable documents, partially scanned documents, document name patterns, document size, document properties, and document names containing specific words or phrases. This new capability is available on Mac Endpoints and is designed to enhance data protection and compliance. The General Availability release date is scheduled for October CY2024, with a preview release in August CY2024. The platform is supported on a web cloud instance and is available worldwide.

To take advantage of this new feature, admins must be familiar with the endpoint DLP and how to configure it effectively. With this powerful tool, they can minimize the risk of data breaches and unauthorized access while simultaneously improving compliance within their organization.
