Microsoft changed the minimum iOS system requirements for Outlook for iOS

Microsoft is updating the minimum system requirements for Outlook for iOS, dropping support for iOS 16 and requiring iOS 17 as the minimum. Users on iOS 16 will no longer receive updates and may eventually lose synchronization capabilities. The app is supported on the two most recent versions of iOS, and when a new version is released, the Operating System requirement changes to the current and previous versions of iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. Once iOS 18 is released to GA, the system requirements for Outlook for iOS will be updated to reflect support for iOS 18. iPadOS 17 and 18, and watchOS 10 and 11 will be the only supported versions for iPad and Apple Watch. It is recommended to communicate this change to users and encourage them to update their device operating system. Once iOS 18 is released, users on iOS 16 will need to update their device to receive the newest version of Outlook. This change does not affect users on iOS 17 or above.
